History of Austin PFLAG
The Austin Chapter of PFLAG was incorporated and was granted tax-exempt, non-profit status under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code in 1994.
The Austin Chapter of PFLAG satisfied all the requirements for affiliation with National PFLAG and received recognition as a chartered chapter on August 16th, 1995. Included in our membership are lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender persons as well as parents, families, friends and allies of those that make up the LGBT community of greater Austin.
